Icons of Wales No. 14 celebrates Portmeirion, the Italianate village built on the North Wales coast by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis who spent nearly fifty years getting it right. Released in celebration of Portmeirion's 2026 centenary, this Amarone cask finish whisky offers ripe fruit and oak spice with whispers of vanilla and cocoa, red berries and plum turning velvety on the palate and a long, warming finish of candied fruit and spiced oak.

Tasting Notes

Nose: On the nose, layers of ripe fruit and oak spice intertwine with whispers of vanilla and cocoa, followed by delicate honey and gentle toasted oak.

Palate: The palate unfolds luxuriously, velvety and full-bodied, revealing red berries, ripe plums, soft spice, and a honeyed sweetness touched by floral undertones.

Finish: A long, warming finish lingers with candied fruit, spiced oak, and a subtle trace of grape tannins, a graceful echo of fading light over the vineyards.
